Monitoring data — not file content

SecureSync sends a summary of monitoring activity to our systems — never the content of your files. Here is exactly what we see:

File names and counts
How many files were backed up, what they are called, when they changed.
Sync status and timestamps
Whether the last backup succeeded, when it ran, what the monitoring health is.
Device and system identifiers
Computer name, device ID — so the mobile app knows which PC it is monitoring.

File content — never

Your files go directly to your own Google Drive. They do not pass through our servers. We have no technical ability to read them.

File contents
What is inside your documents, spreadsheets, PDFs — we cannot read any of it.
Your Google account password
You authorise Google Drive access directly with Google. We never see your password.
Your restore PIN
The restore PIN is stored only as a cryptographic hash on your machine. Not even we know it.
🔐

PIN-gated restore

Every restore operation requires a PIN set by you during installation. The PIN is stored using PBKDF2-SHA256 with a random salt — industry-standard cryptographic hashing. It cannot be reversed. Not even a JYOTVIRA engineer can restore without your PIN.

🤖

On-device AI — no data sent out

The AI risk classifier runs locally on your Windows PC using a local LLM (Ollama). Your files are never sent to any external AI service — not OpenAI, not Google AI, not ours. Risk classification happens entirely on your machine.

☁️

Direct to your Google Drive

Files back up directly from your PC to your Google account. They do not route through JYOTVIRA servers. Google's own encryption, security, and data residency policies apply to your stored files.

Restores are gated — always

1

You initiate a restore request

Via the app, WhatsApp, or a call. You identify yourself and describe what files are needed.

2

Engineer confirms your identity

We verify the request against the registered contact for the account before proceeding.

3

PIN required to unlock restore

The restore operation requires the PIN you set during installation. Without it, files cannot be restored — even by JYOTVIRA staff.

4

Files restored to a safe folder

Restored files go to a designated safe recovery folder — never overwriting originals without your explicit confirmation.
